It all started with a book club…

On June 2021, I made a post that changed my understanding of anti-racist work.

I placed a call out to see if anyone was interested in joining me for a book club. I had been reading Until We Are Free: Reflections on Black Lives Matter in Canada edited by Rodney Diverlus, Sandy Hudson, and Syrus Marcus Ware. We were smack dab in the throes of a pandemic, but people in my Kitchener, Ontario neighbourhood had come out by the hundreds to march in solidarity with Black lives. They were horrified by the circulation of video after video and story after story of Black people being killed by police. I decided to call for a “Real Talk Book Club” – a space where we could gather virtually, talk about what was happening in the world, and try to come up with a few actions “on the ground” that might bring us some hope. I was sure I could get 10 people to come on board.

When 250+ people signed up, I realized that I wasn’t alone in my desire to build a better, more loving, world.

250+ people wanted to join me in this work.

Now, it’s time to organize. It’s time to do more than talk. It’s time to ACT.

So choose your membership package below, and meet me inside.

I can’t wait to get to work!
